The Finnish National Skills Competition Taitaja will be held at the Paviljonki Congress and Trade Fair Centre in Jyväskylä on 24–26 April 2012. About 30 000 visitors are expected to attend the event.
In the event, a total of 400 vocational students compete for Finnish Championships in 41 different skills categories. The event will also include the Finnish National Skills Competition TaitajaPLUS for students with disabilities and special needs and Taitaja9 Finals, in which 100 ninth-graders will compete in hands-on skills.
The Taitaja2012 Jyväskylä Event will be organised by the Jyväskylä Educational Consortium in cooperation with Central Finnish companies, organisations and educational institutions. The event is open to the public free of charge.
